DI Womens National Rugby Playoffs

It has been a CRAZY week as my rugby team, the KC Jazz prepared to host the first round of the DI Women's Club National Playoffs. I started for our side this morning. We held our opponent, the Minnesota Amazons, with a score of 10-5 at the end of the first half. They answered back with 3 tries during the second half to end the game with a score of 10-20. We had some unlucky penalties and they took advantage of their mauling game, which we could not defend, inside their 22 for all of their tries.

It has been so exciting to compete at this level, but in a way I am glad the season is about over (we play Northern Virginia tomorrow morning at 10am). A win today would mean 2 more weeks of rugby and a trip to Orlando FL to compete in the Elite 8 for a run at the national championship. There is always next year...
